Vacation at the Lake of the Ozarks!

We took our second annual trip to the Lake of the Ozarks with the Smiths & Tuckers. It's amazing what a difference a year makes. Laney was able to do so much more this year and did her very best to keep up with her older cousins! She rode the wave runner, swam in the wave pool at the water park and would have ridden the go carts if she'd been tall enough! I didn't take any pictures on the boat or at the water park but if I get some of Deb's...I'll do another post. Thanks for the trip Mom and Dad...it was awesome!

Here's Laney giving Umps his Father's Day card that she made for him.

Happy Father's Day Umps!

The vacation planners!

Laney is crazy for popsicles (specifically purple) so they were eating popsicles within 5 minutes of walking in the door!

Bad lighting...but here's a shot from our balcony. It's such a nice place!

More Vacation Pictures

This was one of the first pictures I took. They were wound up from the second we walked in the door and had lots of fun with their hoola hoops!

They were doing 'cheers' with their candy rings!

Dru and the girls!

Laney had corn on the cob for the first time. She was really into it! We were also having spaghetti so we had her strip down to eat that night.

She was saying, "Umps & Nanna...watch this" before every bite.

Broken Arrow

It works out great that Broken Arrow is half way to the lake so Laney got to see Grandma and Pops twice in one week!

Here she's running into the Aquarium. Last time we went to the Aquarium we had to leave after about 30 minutes because she had a major melt down. This time she told me she was not going to 'take a fit' and was going to be a good girl. Luckily for us, she was great!

Those teeth are sharp!

We got all of Dru/Dac/Klanci's old books down from the attic and it's an awesome collection. Grandma and Laney read a million books!

Pops made this swing for Laney in their backyard. She loved it!

Ballet & Gymnastics

We started both baby ballet and gymnastics this week. After week one, gymnastics is the winner! She didn't want me to leave the room for ballet and it was a little too slow for her taste. Gymnastics on the other hand, she loved! It is a mommy and me class so she was much happier that I got to stay with her. She did really good and especially loved the bars and the trampoline. Since I was a participant in the gymnastics class most of the pictures came from ballet.

Practicing before we left!

Dancing in a train!

At the bar. She kept trying to do chin ups instead of ballet.

She's looking at me and saying please come get me!

In her leotard before we left for gymnastics.

Weekend with Grandma, Pops and Aunt Klanci

Laney was so happy to have Grandma, Pops and Aunt Klanci come to visit!  Here are a few pictures we took after church on Sunday.

Look...Mom's shoes fit me!

She loved the dinosaurs that came with her new pool. She named them Oscar and Otis (after Grandma's dogs).

Laney LOVED the pool that Grandma and Pops brought her. She could hardly wait for us to get it aired up!

More Pool Pics

Uncle Dac thought he was only going to get his feet wet but Laney made sure his shorts were soaked. Here they are riding on the dinosaurs!

At first he was only going to show Laney how to ride them!

She needed Grandma and Aunt Klanci to hold the waterfall in place so her dinosaurs could run under the water.

Look at my fish face!

Memorial Day Weekend

On Saturday we went to the Fossil Rim Wildlife Center in Glenrose (southwest of Dallas) where we did a driving tour of the exotic animal safari. It was incredible! Laney and I both had a Giraffe eat out of our hands. I was actually terrified at the time but looking back it was pretty cool. I can't believe we forgot our camera. Anyway, here are some pictures we took after church instead. Not nearly as exciting as the pictures I'd be posting if we'd taken our camera to the safari.

Here's Laney and Porter the puppy (one of her all time favorites) posing for a picture.

Best buddies. Laney takes care of Cosmo and vice versa.

Dru and I were making lunch and noticed that Laney was unusually quiet. We found her laying down with Cosmo on his bed.

Justin and Adrian came over for dinner and Laney was loving Adrian. She calls Adrian by name but refers to Justin as 'that boy'.

Memorial Day Weekend Continued...

We went to Ft. Worth on Sunday to hang out with Lea, Joby, Hudson, Hattie, Jill and Graham. We had the best time!

Laney and Hudson went down the slide a thousand times!

How fun does this look!!!

Watch out...crazy driver!

Dinner time!

Laney loved the trampoline and would have jumped all night if we'd let her.
