The Polar Express

We took the kids to Grapevine to ride the Polar Express Train. It was one of the coldest days we've had this year. The kids wear their pajamas, see a little Christmas show, walk through fake snow and then see Santa on the train ride. It was very entertaining!

Laney, Reese, Brooke and Hudson shared a seat on the train to the North Pole. Hattie and Lea are in the seat behind. They sang Christmas carols and shook hands with Santa!

Before the train ride Laney got to sit on Santa's lap for a picture. Surprisingly she wasn't scared of him!

Here they are running around while the parents waited in line for the show. The cold weather didn't phase them.

Here we are walking through the tree farm with the fake snow (it's a little hard to see in the photo). Laney's eyes lit up when she saw the snow. She's dying for it to snow in Texas!

Thanksgiving 2010

We made the drive to Marshall for Thanksgiving and had a great time! Laney is obsessed with her cousins and loved spending every second right by their side.

Dru is so good to play with the kids and they love him for it! Here they are riding the horsy!

So excited to see Nana! They are probably buttering her up so she'll give them another cookie!

Bedtime is always entertaining! We had two air mattresses for the three of them. It worked well for the most part.

Braden's Birthday Visit

Braden and Aunt Debbie came to visit over the weekend. We celebrated Braden's 7th Birthday a few days early. Laney LOVED hanging out with her older cousin and did her best to smother him 24/7!

Braden's showing off his Madden Wii game we got him for his birthday.

Braden's chocolate b-day cake! Laney could hardly wait to get her mouth on all that icing!

Here they're eating baby bottle shaped suckers that Laney picked out at the grocery store. Blue for Braden and pink for Laney!

Watching Toy Story. Laney had to sit right next to him!

The birthday blow horns went off all weekend!

Happy Halloween

Laney was a cupcake for Halloween. She was REALLY into it this year!

We went trick or treating with Kesler in his neighborhood. He was a fireman but didn't want to wear the hat or the pants!

They jumped in and out of the wagon as we walked through the neighborhood.

They would run up to the door yelling trick or treat. Then when the door opened it was like they were speechless!

They also loved handing out candy to the kids who came to the door.

OKC

We met Grandma and Pops in Oklahoma City over the weekend. They watched Laney while Dru and I went to the OU game Saturday night. Our hotel had a pool with a kids splash area. Laney went down the slide hundreds of times!

Pops was the lucky one who brought shorts and got to get in the water with Laney!

Here they're waiting to get on the water taxi that goes through Brick Town.

On Sunday we made a quick stop at the zoo. It was a beautiful day and the place was nearly empty!

She's saying ROAR!

First Camping Trip

Words can't describe how excited Laney was to go on her first camping trip. She spent most of Thursday and Friday packing (and unpacking) her bag. She could not wait to sleep in her favorite sleeping bag! We headed to the Wichita Mountains near Lawton, OK. It rained all the way there and I was making my pitch for a cabin instead of a tent. But as soon as we got into town the rain stopped and it turned out to be a beautiful weekend.

Pumpkin Patch

We met Kesler and his parents at Owens Farm Pumpkin Patch last weekend. Here's Laney waiting to go in.

They loved the barrel ride and I love that I didn't have to ride it with her this year!

Afterwards, we carved pumpkins at our house and the kids spent quality time in the Jeep. Laney is content to be the passenger most of the time.

Dru did the two on the left. Unfortunately, they've already rotted...but it was fun while it lasted.

Laney fell asleep sitting up after they left. She was exhausted from all of the fun!

State Fair

We took Laney to the fair over the weekend! It was hot and crowded but we had tons of fun anyway. Watching her ride the rides was hilarious! Here we are with Big Tex!

This is the only motorcycle she'll ever ride under my watch! She had a look of sheer terror on her face for the first minute or so. End the end, she loved it and wanted to go on more rides!

She was really brave on the airplanes...even letting go to wave!

Richardson schools were off on Tuesday so Nana and Umps watched Laney while I worked. Nana braided her hair. So cute!

Dac and Jayne's Wedding

The wedding was awesome! Dac and Jayne were adorable and we had a great time! I took a million pictures and probably posted way too many. Enjoy!

The Reception

Laney had her Dora and Diego dolls with her to keep her company during dinner!

At the cocktail hour.

The happy couple!

Let the dancing begin!

Awe...Dru and little sis!
